The Children’s Museum Jordan, Hikma Pharmaceuticals and UNRWA Renew Partnership for 2011-2012

Hikma Sponsors UNRWA School Children to access Children’s Museum

[Amman, Jordan – December 2011] The Children’s Museum Jordan, a non-profit educational initiative of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, renewed its partnership agreement with Hikma Pharmaceuticals this week. The partnership guarantees free admission for all UNRWA school children to the Children’s Museum for the scholastic year 2011-2012, joining other successful programs under the Children’s Museum’s public access and outreach initiative, “A Museum for All.”

The partnership agreement between the three parties was first signed for the scholastic year (2010-2011). Since, over 15,790 UNRWA school children and families have been able to visit the Children’s Museum and benefit from its exciting learning experiences in the interactive exhibit hall, art studio and library.

Hikma believes in improving the health of the community by going beyond quality pharmaceuticals and extending their corporate impact to support education, the environment, and health awareness. The partnership between The Children’s Museum Jordan and Hikma Pharmaceuticals in support of this program reflects the latter’s belief in the Museum’s mission and the vital role it plays in enhancing the learning experience for children in Jordan.

The UNRWA Schoolchildren Free Visit Program joins other successful programs under the Museum for All initiative, including the Children’s Museum’s partnership with the Ministry of Education, signed in 2008, that allows all public school students and teachers to visit the Museum for free. In 2010, over 84,000 children benefitted from subsidized visits under the Museum for All program.
