May 20, 2013

May -2013- The Children’s Museum Jordan, a non-profit educational initiative of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, celebrated Independence Day with its 6th Annual Independence Carnival on Friday, May 17th , organized in partnership with Bank Al Etihad.
Over the course of the day, hundreds of children and their families enjoyed programs that focused on enhancing children's loyalty and responsibility towards their beloved country through a number of creative and exciting educational activities. Children also got a chance to interact with traditional carnival games, each representing an element of the Jordanian culture and geography, and enjoyed making their own kites and flying them in the sky.
The celebrations also included a performance of national songs by talented Jordanian singer Zain Awad. And as a wrap up to the carnival, children and families danced to the tunes and melodies of famous cultural songs after participating in the scouts’ parade which included symbols of Jordan’s environment and traditions.
This program is part of the museum's "May’s Jordan Month", which invites children to learn more about the history and culture of Jordan.
The Independence Carnival is part of the successful “Celebrations“ platform supported by Bank Al Etihad whose support of the Children’s Museum, as part of its social responsibility to support children and education, has been steadfast for 4 consecutive year.
